Club History
Kells Boys FC was founded in 1993 and are at present one of the biggest schoolboy club in the North East Counties. The Club has expanded rapidly in the past few years and last season had over 350 players registered with the club.
In July of 2007 Kells Boys FC merged with local club Blackwater United who have Senior and Reserve teams in the MDL. This was seen by both clubs as essential to the continuation of soccer in the Kells area. The new club is now known as Kells Blackwater F.C.
From April to May we run an eight week Academy for 5, 6 and 7 year olds. This year we ran our 3rd annual FAI Soccer Summer Camp which was booked out in a very short space of time.
We currently run a training and coaching league each Saturday in The Grange from 2 - 4pm for all children aged 6, 7, 8 and 9 years. We accommodate over 120 children each week both boys and girls. If you would like to participate as a player or coach please click here or contact 087-9960968.
Our under 11 teams participate in the MDL training league each Saturday. This is a very well run league with the emphasis on coaching rather than winning each game. If you would like to participate as player or coach please click here.
